Using your own domain

Serving forms from forms.yourcompany.com. A Pro feature.

Setting one up

  1. 1In the Share tab, add your hostname — a subdomain like forms.yourcompany.com is the usual choice.
  2. 2Add the DNS record we show you at your domain registrar. The target is specific to this deployment, so use the one on screen rather than one from a guide.
  3. 3Wait. DNS changes take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. We check repeatedly and the status updates itself; you don't need to keep the tab open.

What changes

Forms are served at the root of your hostname — forms.yourcompany.com/feedback rather than /f/feedback. The original crispforms.com link keeps working.

If your subscription lapses

The domain stops routing and anyone following an old link is redirected to the canonical crispforms.com address, so their link still works. Nothing is deleted, and the domain is kept for thirty days so re-subscribing puts it straight back without touching DNS again.
